Supplements. I think 99.9% of the supplements out there are garbage. Unless I or the Big Dog ( I think we all know who that is at this point) has vetted it or recommends it AND it has scientific backing, its not going in. So, here is my unsolicited, unbiased and unpaid for review of a product called VAZ Q LAR. A preworkout from Simple Science Nutrition. (I was lucky enough to get my hands on a jug of it and test drove it yesterday). I ate preworkout meal at 1 p.m. and started drinking this about 3 p.m. Could feel it start popping about 17 min later.  The taste is fantastic! I have the fruit pump punch. Great taste, not bitter or sour. I have had some crappy ones and this is really good. Got a slight but not crazy Beta Alanine/niacin tingle. Just let me know it was there. Nothing crazy. The energy is awesome. It is a clean, steady smooth caffeine boost. Perfect. Great energy throughout workout and absolutely killed it through the whole thing. Beat the book on all movements. The pump was as impressive. Crazy pump through the entire workout. Very impressed. I do a little cardio right after lifting. Carried me through with no problem there either.  All in all, for me, it is the BEST pre I have used. The ones prior to this were Citadel Nutrition and Transparent Labs Stim Free. I have a crazy sensitivity to caffeine and slept fine last night. That is what put it over the top for me. Sick workout and allowed me to sleep.  Again, the BEST one I have tried. If you want a great preworkout with scientifically proven ingredients, this has to be at the top of your list. Test drive it, you will not be sorry.

Wanted to give a shout out to simple science nutrition a new science based supplement company for sending me some of their stuff. They are just getting started and their president Dennis is one of the nicest humans you’ll meet.  The list of ingredient are evidence-based and the dosages are on point. Honestly I’m not a big fan of drinking pre-workout drinks because taste is #1 of importance to me so I’d sooner pop caffeine and L tyrosine caps, but I was delighted that vaz•q•lar did not taste like cyanide laced lemonade. Trust me when I say I’ve tossed many a preworkout drink because of taste.  Anyway I am pleased that there exist a handful of good supplement companies, run by caring people that use science and customer feedback to create products that can help you power through a tough gym session. As always, read the label and decide if this is for you.

I don't get paid to endorse anybody's products except my own company.  That includes Simple Science Nutrition.  What I like about this product (their first), is that it is just that...  SIMPLE and straight forward... truth in labeling, simple ingredients, effective ingredients, and in smart proportions.  Check out the ingredients list attached.  No "proprietary blend" BS...  I'm on my third tub of this stuff...Huge pump, sweat pours off me, long-lasting energy,... like an hour in, my muscles are GONE, but I still WANT to train.  No nasty itchy crack-addict feeling, and no huge caffeine rush/crash... just a great workout, with a great pump.  I've tried a dozen brands, and when I run out of Vaz-q-lar, I sub in the "other stuff", or just try to hit the caffeine hard... Not the same.  If you're current PW brand is running low, hit up Simple Science Nutrition, and try this.
